All Angry Crab Shack managers undergo five weeks of hands-on training at a Certified Training Restaurant, where they are trained in both Front of House and Back of House operations. They’ll learn every position and role in the restaurant to gain a complete understanding of how to effectively manage the entire restaurant.

The Angry Crab Shack team sees every visit to their restaurant as a “celebration,” making hospitality training crucial. Every guest should feel welcomed and excited to be there.

Meanwhile, the brand’s e-learning platform, CrabLab, complements the hands-on training and offers a one-stop shop for information like recipes, standard operating procedures, human resources materials and marketing tools.

Ensuring Smooth and Consistent Operations

One of the brand’s biggest differentiators is its relationship with suppliers. As product shortages and delays continue to threaten restaurant brands everywhere, Angry Crab Shack’s established relationships with top suppliers like SYSCO will allow their restaurants to maintain inventory and quality control.

The Angry Crab Shack team also utilizes logs and checklists to verify their products are stored and served at the best quality possible. Food safety is a top priority, and all employees are required to obtain a food handling certification.

Menu changes and updates are communicated through the operations and franchise teams, while additional information can be found on CrabLab. Menu testing is always one of the main focuses during each store visit to ensure recipes are being followed so guests can taste the same, top-quality dishes within each of their restaurants.
