At Angry Crab Shack, our mission has always been to take great care of our Franchise Owners as well as our guests, and the forward-thinking leadership that has made us one of the nation’s most innovative franchises has also uniquely positioned us to offer strong franchise support during COVID -19.

Empowering our Franchise Owners through incentives and assistance.
Our brand is only as strong as its owners; that’s why we’ve taken decisive action to help existing and new owners adapt to COVID 19. As of March 15, 2020, we’ve waived all royalty fees until further notice. We helped our owners apply for PPP loans by providing payroll information, updates on program laws and regulations, and even assisted them in completing applications to access critical funds to keep paying their employees.

Meeting our guest’s requirements is what we do.
As a leading Cajun seafood franchise, we’re famous for our fantastic seafood boil, bold flavors, and a fun, low-key environment. Our commitment to meeting our guests’ requirements and innovation goes beyond our menu and that outside-the-box thinking has come in handy dealing with COVID -19. We fine-tuned our menu and food packaging to better accommodate takeout and curbside guests, and we now have an Executive Chef overseeing future refinements. We strengthened our training programs and plan to retrain new franchise staff in person once it’s safe to travel. Our new, larger corporate office will compliment future training initiatives once in-person training can begin again—meanwhile, we’re in regular phone and email communication with our current and soon-to-be Franchise Owners.

We’re creating the future of fast-casual franchises.
We’re redesigning our consumer website to meet the demand for streamlined online ordering and curbside pickup for the benefit of our staff and our guests. We’ve also beefed up our corporate office support so we can expedite marketing initiatives and provide reopening guidance as states begin to once again permit inside dining. From interior signage to help diners understand new procedures, to step-by-step reopening plans, our goal is to create a seafood franchise dining experience that everyone—our Franchise Owner family, our staff and our diners—can feel good about. This ultimately results in new and more loyal guests and a more valuable franchise.

Giving back to our friends and neighbors.
A sense of family is at the heart of the Angry Crab Shack brand. It’s what motivates us to support our Franchise Owners, their staff, and their guests. It also drives us to make a difference in the communities we serve. Due to the COVID pandemic our communities are in dire need. Angry Crab stepped up to the challenge donating to area foodbanks and increasing its quarterly contribution to Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH). With the $75,000 donation made the past month, contributions to PCH exceeded $200,000 since our partnership began in November 2017.
